Vacuum

Vacuum

(Ascription to Franz Kafka)

When yours and mine galaxies were in collision
A new world was formed
The world where men become gods
And God was evaporated

The Earth was sentenced to revolve—
Without a Sun
Darkness has usurped darkness
A game of hide-and-seek, between
Dark Mater and Dark Energy

Revolutionaries have hanged themselves in despair
When the Time was nor good nor worse
Clouds have formed craters
Where once their tombs were
And a black chrysanthemum has blossomed in the spring

My violin was lost on the shore of Dead Sea
My tears were wiped by your fingers
The acute passiveness of your silent words
And the Vita Nova in your hand
Have all paralyzed my body

The flood is still inside
And so is the feeling that
My wild spirit wants to escape to oblivion
O Kafka! Be my guide
Like Virgil was to Dante
