Limericks: Oxymoron

Limericks: Oxymoron

Ask the lion to sit on the drum,
Navigate the kite from mountain’s brim,
Test the firearm on a bubblegum,
Cut bread with the edge of ice cream
Happily err in 2+2 sum,
See through open eyes an artificial dream,
Go to trials where losers come,
Touch the prism and vanish the beam
Fail the choir with falsetto hum,
Hire a barber to doubt in bright trim,
Call dead reverend to play numb,
Hide smiles to a confident grim,
Pass the last test and look glum,
Work for max and use vim.

After Searching for my Beloved

After Searching for my Beloved

Shattered in tears
I left Damascus
The once home to him
I confessed on that threshold
That my Love killed you
My lust for fame was at last quenched
When the well drank
Your blood
My schizophrenic thoughts
Ventured far beyond Mt. Kaf
My dark soul
Usurped the Protector
They called me mystic
While I was dancing in fear
My namesake turned nemesis
Disclosed my secret
O Rumi…
Shield me from myself

The Land Stained Yellow

The Land Stained Yellow

In my utter despair
When on the brink of destruction
I saw a path
Heading towards my eternal dream
My Soprano –my peace; then,
I lost my audacity
And slept on the rail line:
I hide myself
In red duct tape room
To find my eerie solace
In blasphemous books
Crying for the last cootamundra wattle
Inside my heart
O mountains be merciful
To the new madman in town

Waxing Trials

Waxing Trials

In Your Arms
I’m ten and nigh
I’m dream and sigh
In Your Arms
I shed tears and cry
I lost and try
In Your Eyes
My shadow lurks
My body burns
In the dread of the night
I called Eureka
I shined in forsaken rocks
Like mica
From the garden of daydreams
I plucked flowers of yucca:
From miles away
You pour the red nectar
Of Your heart-shaped Lips
Into the underground river
From that
I drank and drank
To lose my conscience
Under the starry sky
When I woke up
I named the most beautiful constellation
After You
And worshiped You
Upon seeing me gazing
The constellation –You –
Your father committed me
To the asylum
When You hidden in rags
Like a pearl
Came to see me
We both ran away
To a country unknown
There, you found
A black rose
You loved it
You imagined: this is My prince
Even the rose had to fulfill
Your whim
And in a moment’s flash
It was as human as me
But You didn't accept…
My plea
And went away with him
From the garden of reverie…!

[Untitled II]

[Untitled II]

Love,
Teach me, how to swim in Thy Sea;
Or, I shall certainly be drowned with no mercy.
Teach me, how to dance before Thee;
Or, there would no movement left to see.
Teach me, how to sing Thy Praise
Or, the silence would sweep me away, in days.
Teach me, how to fly like an Angel
Or, the broken wings would land me in Hell.
Teach me, how to weep, how to cry;
Or, a dead without coffin would remain to dry.
Oh Love,
Come and teach me the Lesson…
The Lesson of Life,
And, the Lesson of Passion.
Tell me, how to be like votive,
If pierced by Sorrows…
Cradled alone to froze.
Oh Love,
For once, take me to Her Mansion,
(I will gently ask Her to be my bride,)
Would Thou not erase all my apprehension?
Eventually, that shall be Thy Pride!

Lost! Or Mirage in the Desert

Lost! Or Mirage in the Desert*

When they tried to kill the mare
I was a witness:
I laughed, I cried
I hid my face
In Your Arms
I forgot the lash hitting my face
I forgot that it’s time for You to go
Afternoons of July
Nights of December
Longing for the dream to come true
An axe hurting me
An arrow hurting You
The never ending twilight
The never ending peril
Is it the lust of vodka?
Or the sadist in us:
(He who hurt shall never drink my vine,
Licker, beknowest thy day has come,
Kiss thy inner Satan,
Who makest thou a log for eternal fire!)

(II)
While others were eating
I drank
From a river – azure river
Inside the water resides shining pebbles
Glaring like diamante
I become camel
They laughed
And fastened me to a pole
I broke the pole
They caught me
And cut my forelegs
They barbecued them
In front of my eyes
A tear-drop lost in sand
A mind lost to absurdity
I joined them in laughter
And ate my legs!

(III)
And death was in view
And my baby sister lies naked,
Shivering as hell
Then, smiling as a lady of the night
Her childish smile
And red vine like lips
Were kisses of death

Cut to teenage:
She is sitting on my leg
Asking to be honoured as me
She was hiding her face in my chest
Weeping, so to be loved forever by me.
After that,
I saw her dead body in the Parish
Lying between daffodils, in coffin
The girl with the clay feet
I saw green leaves in autumn

I poisoned my wife and went to Alaska bare footed
I hurt my Life;
Her hands besmirched with gun powder
Her mind tainted with love
A small mouse slept with me
I tried to catch
But it slipped like an eel
I tried to call the manager
But His Ragness was nowhere to be found
In the light of a put out candle

Water was overflowing;
Flooding my city
They were blinding my ears
In this ocean
I found Dry River
And drowned myself in it
The lone ranger said,
“Yes, it is not”

Tick, Tick, Tick

Tick, Tick, Tick: [...]

My will has made
            God a rubber-stamp
My darkness has swallowed
            Black holes’ light
My death was mourned
            In red-dressed bugs
My laughter was choked
            Some centuries ago
My rhyme is completed
After the Triangle lost in HMS []
My dirt is cleaned
When ink faded from my hands
My hunger was struck
            By a handsome pitcher
My love was ended
            On the vivisection table
My eye was blinded
By the monocle of self pity
My clock has stopped
            Tick, tick, tick!
